✨ A New Chapter is Coming… ✨

Over the past two years, God has blessed me in ways I never could have imagined through LuxAeterna. What began as a dream, has become a place filled with friendship, creativity, encouragement, and so many meaningful connections.

As many of you know, I have been a teacher for 30 years, and creativity has always been woven throughout my life. Over the past few years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching art, which has only deepened my passion for helping others discover the joy of creating.

For quite some time, I’ve been praying about how to combine my love of art, community, and faith into something new.

Today, I’m excited to share that a new venture is on the horizon:

A place to paint, create, gather, and connect.

Salt & Light Creative Co. will offer paint parties, creative workshops, seasonal projects, and opportunities for people of all ages and skill levels to experience the joy of making something beautiful together.

My heart is to create a welcoming space where creativity flourishes, friendships grow, and people leave encouraged.

This has been quietly in the works for a while, and I can’t wait to share more details with you soon!

My heart is so full. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who stopped by LuxAeterna’s 2-Year Anniversary Celebration on Friday. I truly wasn’t prepared for the outpouring of love, encouragement, hugs, well-wishes, and kind words.

Over and over, people congratulated me not only on LuxAeterna reaching two years, but also on making it through my cancer journey. Many of you have prayed for me, encouraged me, checked on me, and supported my family through some very difficult days. I will never forget that.

One of the sweetest surprises was seeing some dear friends from my teaching days at Meridian in the 1990s, other teachers I’ve taught with in the past, and some that I currently teach with at Illini Central including one of my besties! To have people from so many different seasons of my life come together to celebrate was incredibly special.

As I looked around the boutique throughout the day, I was reminded once again of God’s faithfulness. Two years ago, I opened LuxAeterna with a dream and a lot of faith. I could never have imagined all that would happen during these first two years, but through every high and low, God has been good.

Thank you for supporting this little boutique, for supporting local small businesses, and most of all, for supporting me.

A special thank you to Melanie from The Bee for making the beautiful bud vase arrangements and to Megan of Smart Cookies Gourmet Sweets for the delicious anniversary cookies. Your amazing small businesses helped make the day even more meaningful.

I left Friday feeling grateful, humbled, and deeply loved.
