Sew Many Seams

Completed this ensemble for my newest grandson to wear home from the hospital! He is sharing his birthday with my own son, the second son's second son! It has been finished for over a month. CC appliqued long Johnny paired with a pintucked peter pan collared shirt both of linen. Sac jacket of linen with shadow embroidery is a Simplicity pattern, with booties, all piped in micro check to match the Johnny lining. Grandson Jack also has a bib to match his shirt! Hopefully he will also wear it for his first Easter! Sure hope all of our snow has melted by the time he goes home on Monday!

It has been a very busy Summer and beginning of Autumn! We have completed alterations as well as some additional wedding garments for 5 Brides, as well as some garments for my own son's wedding on October 14th! Sew busy there wasn't time to share pictures, until today!

Honored to have been asked to make a Baptism outfit for a church friend's grandson. 6 months old and had outgrown his family's heirloom gown from Spain. Blessings on August!

Today's sewing was for two very special granddaughters! Tomorrow we celebrate a 4th and 1st birthday! So pink and purple fabric was in abundance! Children's Corner Taylor for Maggie and Jane with coordinating Parker's Pants shorts for Mary!

Spent Saturday morning with the Sew Hopeful Ministry and the Prayer Shawl Ministry of St. Lawrence Martyr Parish making scarves for the Trinitarian Third Order to distribute to the homeless of Baltimore. In just over 3 hours 10 volunteers completed nearly 300 fleece scarves! I will update in a week or two with the final count. Volunteers knitted over 180 scarves as well!
