Meet Gleep. ๐๐
Gleep began as an original creature drawing by Raedyn Braga, an incredibly creative 11-year-old designer with full-on superhero-level imagination.
Raedyn shared his drawing and asked if his creature could be made into a real crochet piece.
That may sound simple, but it is a big thing to do. Sharing an original idea takes courage. Asking someone to help bring it to life takes confidence. And Raedyn did both.
Gleep was not a simple design. Raedynโs creature had six eyes, two legs, three toes on each foot, pincers, teeth, a tongue, and a mouth on top of his head. But his ideas went beyond how Gleep looked โ he also thought about how Gleep should move and stand.
Raedyn specifically asked for armature inside so Gleep could stand. The mouth was made to open and close, and the tongue has wire inside so it can bend. Those details came from Raedynโs vision and helped turn Gleep from a drawing into a creature with real personality.
There were texts, phone conversations, questions, choices, and plenty of problem-solving along the way. Raedyn was not just handing over a drawing. He was part of the design process.
Gleep is special because he started in Raedynโs imagination โ and now he exists.
Shared with family permission, because Raedynโs role as the designer deserves to be celebrated.
