Some more pictures from our last fitting!! It's so close to being finished! 😍😍 I've also had some questions about the red glasses, so I thought I'd address those real quick. The glasses were custom made to help bring out the connection this dress has to the eared grebe bird. The bird has red eyes, so this is paying homage to the bird. Scroll to the end to see what the bird looks like!

Part 4 - FIRST FITTING for the GSL dress, the Allegra Gown! 💛💛 I know this is a longer video, but watch the whole thing, it's worth it! Our amazing model is seen trying on the dress in these videos while I explain the process behind how the first fitting is done, what is expected, and what we decided to change before our final fitting.

Like I say at the end of our video, if you haven't done research into why it matters if the Great Salt Lake dries up, look into it! It matters and it's not too late for us to make a difference.

One of the first dresses I ever made was my wedding dress! Haha it was a rollercoaster and in no way perfect, but I loved it. And looking back, I still love it even though I can see every wrong stitch and mistake. I guess i feel like my dress is like marriage, it's not perfect, but you can choose to love it anyway. And after 3 years of Valentines, I love my guy more with every day that passes! ❤️

Part 2 of the making of the GSL Dress! First we designed the dress. Now, in this video, you can see the process we went through cutting the yards and yards of fabric for the ginormous gown. Creating a pattern and cutting all the corset panels/ skirt panels took and I about 4 hours.

I am so exciting to be collaborating on this HUGE project with ! This dress has already been so much fun to design and I love that it is bringing awareness to a big issue in Utah. Stay tuned for more updates as we work on this dress!

My favorite thing to do when stressed is sit down and sketch/ paint 💛💛 The back of this jacket was so much fun to paint and I love how it encompasses all of Howl's life on an item of clothing I think he would love.

More pictures of Howl and Sophie! And the castle! The castle was the largest build I've ever done. It was made out of paper mache and chicken wire... and I definitely learned lots of things while making it. 😂 It functions as a costume, it can be moved around by the person on the inside (it's on wheels), although its really too big to take anywhere... so that kinda stinks. I'll make a video later on the construction of it though!

Overall, these were fun costumes that honestly weren't too uncomfy to wear all day at , so I'd count that as a win!
