Back in 1955, Dean Hicken founded The Kater Shop in Logan, Utah. Hicken, a former JC Penney employee, had a vision of a store that was able to "kater" to every menswear-related need. The Kater Shop would be dedicated to fulfilling all requests, regardless of what size or what item. In 2009, the business was sold to Mike Hammond, a long-time employee of The Kater Shop. Now, the Hammond family operates The Kater Shop using the same values and core ideals that were perpetuated since its beginning in 1955. Our top priority is customer satisfaction, both with in-store purchase as well as online sale. Our staff is entirely focused to making your shopping experience as pleasant and fulfilling as possible. We have made a goal to "kater" to you throughout your time with us in an effort to help all our customers to dress their best.
