📣 CHAOS & CHARM VENDOR UPDATE — PLEASE READ
Chaos & Charm events are NOT going anywhere. 💜💚
But after everything we experienced this summer, the way we operate and work with vendors is changing.
We started these events wanting to create opportunities for small businesses. We have held categories, saved spaces, rolled over credits, worked around cancellations, sent countless reminders and given people the benefit of the doubt.
Unfortunately, we have learned that we need much stronger boundaries.
So we're making some changes — including LOWERING OUR VENDOR PRICES while also raising our expectations.
💜 HERE'S WHAT'S CHANGING:
• Vendor prices are being lowered. We want our events to remain accessible to small businesses while we continue growing.
• Every event will have a firm payment deadline. If your vendor fee is not paid by the deadline, your spot is released. No exceptions and no chasing invoices.
• You may NOT arrive at an event unpaid. Coming to an event, seeing how much money you make and then deciding whether you want to pay your vendor fee is no longer acceptable. Your booth fee pays for your opportunity to participate — it is not based on your sales for the day.
• We will no longer hold categories. We will do our best to create variety, but we will not turn away a reliable, paying vendor because someone else asked us to save an entire category for them.
• Being a returning vendor does not automatically guarantee you a spot. Reliability, communication, payment and participation will be considered.
• No-call/no-show = removal from our vendor list. If you commit to an event and simply don't show up, you will no longer be invited to future Chaos & Charm events.
• We understand that life happens. However, repeated cancellations will result in removal. Credits will not continue being carried from event to event because a vendor repeatedly cannot attend. At that point, the vendor fee will be forfeited.
• Vendors are expected to read and respond to important vendor communications, including lists and group chats. We cannot organize successful events if we cannot communicate with the businesses participating.
• If you no longer want to receive messages from us, just tell us. We will gladly remove you from our contact list. There is no reason to block our number while remaining on our vendor list.
• Please revisit our vendor rules. Moving forward, those rules will be enforced. Applying and paying for an event means you agree to follow them.
⏰ VENDOR COMMUNICATION HOURS
Applications and vendor-related communication will be handled Monday–Friday from 5 PM–7 PM.
Please remember that I work a full-time job, run another business and organize Chaos & Charm. I cannot be available for vendor questions and applications around the clock, and I appreciate everyone who respects those boundaries. 💜
✨ WE'RE ALSO OPENING THE DOOR TO NEW VENDORS.
We are no longer limiting our events to the original group of businesses we started with.
We want new makers, boutiques, food vendors, artists, creators and small businesses to come join us.
We're looking for vendors who want to show up, promote, communicate, participate and grow alongside us.
We aren't asking anyone to be perfect.
Life happens.
But there is a difference between life happening and repeatedly making a commitment that other people are depending on and not following through.
Going forward:
Pay by the deadline.
Communicate with us.
Follow the rules.
And if you sign up, SHOW UP.
In return, we're lowering our prices, continuing to create opportunities and working hard to build events worth being part of.
Chaos & Charm isn't going anywhere. 💜💚
We're opening the doors wider — but we're raising the standard for walking through them.
