The Dandelion is back. 🌬️
I created the first Dandelion in 2011. Fifteen years later, it is still one of the pieces closest to me — and somehow it has had quite a life of its own.
At the time, I was spending some time in Moldova, surrounded by fields of dandelions. I kept looking at them and thinking about their fragile existence — how something so beautiful and complete could disappear with a single breath.
That fragility became the idea behind the piece. A reminder to be present, to notice the moment you are in, because it may be gone a second later.
In 2011, The Dandelion won the Stephen Jones, British Vogue & Talenthouse millinery competition and was later exhibited in Hats: An Anthology by Stephen Jones at the Bard Graduate Center Gallery in New York, an exhibition organized by the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
Over the years, the Dandelion has continued to evolve and take on a life of its own, appearing in different forms and contexts while always returning to the same original idea.
Now, fifteen years later, we have developed it again using the special technique created for the original piece.
The Dandelion is officially coming back in stock.
