Before we were known for fair-trade jewelry, we were nearly taken down by 100 pillows. 💥

Our founder, Nancy, dug into the archives to share a piece of Dunitz & Company history she’s never written about until now. Here is a throwback to 1992 at our High Point Market booth (yes, those are stirrup pants).

Shortly after this photo was taken, we landed a massive order with a global relief organization—which promptly turned into a 100-pillow disaster with split seams, a missing coordinator, and a looming deadline. It’s a story of pure survival, a lucky connection, and the ultimate business pivot.

It's a little blurry, but this photo represents a lot of heart❤️! (From Dunitz founder, Nancy) My days are usually completely consumed with running Dunitz & Company, which means I'm usually an active participant at Fair Trade LA events rather than a behind-the-scenes planner. It makes me appreciate leaders like Becca Dunn even more.
