The simplest styles are often the most difficult to get right and to sew (silk is more time consuming if you don’t want puckered seams etc…that’s why they can be more expensive. But they also are the styles that last forever and do not date.

LATERGRAM: I was traveling all last week. The early part of the week it got up to 67 ☀️I ended the week in the mountains and there was snow ❄️ yeah…I was never good at layering but between travel and wacky weather I’ve learned and this is where silk tees like the Marilyn are key. They are great on their own, but they are also the perfect layering piece. I didn’t have a super heavy coat because 67 just two days before… so the silk plus a cashmere sweater and a lightweight wool coat got me through a 40+ degree temp change in a single duffle.

The skirt remains the same. It’s worth noting. This is the second day I’ve worn this skirt. I’ve driven nearly 4 hours in it and sat from 9-5 in it yesterday. The silk wool used in the Diana’s, Carmel, Lawson and Jackie 1 is one of the most naturally wrinkle forgiving fabrics that does not have a chemical treatment. The suiting which is made of virgin wool is equally naturally wrinkle resistant. It’s an especially helpful trait when trying to pack as little as possible and you want to items. for busy women - working women.
