I have always been shy, a world watcher; imagining fantastical histories for everyday objects. I love

getting lost in stories, music, architecture and shadows. The shy part of me has always been hesitant to broadcast loudly the personal things that I was interested in at the time and has been an important component within my creations. They allow me to express myself in a more subtle way, having things that can been worn or kept near me that remind me of the worlds I so dearly love being lost within. These small tokens can bring to life the realms I love without being a walking advertisement. My ‘hidden’ items give me comfort and on occasion strength. To have a beautiful piece of their own hidden realm with them whenever it's needed. Artist & Owner

Thank you all so much for the kind thoughts over the last few days while I handled some personal family matters. 🖤 Keeping my hands busy with orders was a comfort over the extended weekend. Today, the realm is officially out of vacation mode and back open.

Still building (literally)

I've spent the last year turning a partially unfinished basement into a proper studio. Thanks for your patience through the demolition, framing, and drywall chaos!

To finish and actually move downstairs, I need another couple weeks of slightly extended make times on orders.

The walls are up and done with some added faux brick and wood beams, made from about seventeen rolls of tape and more joint compound than seems reasonable 😅, but it worked and now the walls have character instead of just existing.

What's left: ceiling installation, flooring (picked but not down yet), painting, baseboards, dust containment, and doors. I'll share finished photos once the space is actually functional and not just "technically has walls now."

Authorities report the artist was last seen entering the new studio space with a large putty knife and an optimistic timeline.

When discovered one week later, she was muttering "All those moments will be lost in time, like hands in the joint compound."

The new website is being reviewed and tested during her descent into mudness. Newsletter subscribers are advised to watch their inboxes over the next two weeks.

Recovery is expected.

Sometimes when I feel overwhelmed, I try to pause and look for two specific things. Something that's bigger than me, and something small I can hold.

In the last two weeks, the BIG is drywall. It’s here, and I get to start putting it up in the studio (actual walls!!). And the SMALL are these impossibly tiny, adorable rivets I use for my cuffs.

One reminds me I am making progress, even if it’s slow. The other reminds me to enjoy the fun little things. A step back from the chaos, just for a moment to smile.

The studio is in one of those behind-the-scenes weeks, building walls, sorting paperwork, and testing the new website and then...

The calendar goes and does a Friday the 13th followed immediately by Valentine’s Day... LOVE THAT TIMING!

So I had to share this easy hairstyle from last year that lives somewhere between those two days. A little dark, a little romantic.
