Folky Dots...Treasures for the Sweetest People

Artist James Landis painted this picture off a photograph that was taken with an iPhone 6. This is my husband and 3 youngest son at the end of a day cutting wood. Amazing men! Amazing artist.

This painting was a challenge in several areas. There are an abundance of details-there are very few areas that do not have an edge or a color change.(I never painted so many folds and wrinkles) with all the labor, it was a joy to paint. The picture tells a story- each face tells a story- the overloaded truck groans a story-the hand knitted maroon hat which was obviously a gift tells a story. What makes it even more special is I know the people and they are good friends and good people. These are Phil and Dana’s three youngest of their ten children. All of them are blessings.

Dolly mail going out today. Lots of new outfits on the table to be sewn up and stocked in my store. This little lady needs to decide on clothes and hair. She's changed 3 times.

They are all in a dither, whispering together, wondering what kind of clothes the doll maker intends to make for them. Some are thinking play clothes, others dream of pretty dresses and cardigans to go with, one lone doll is fervently hoping for camo.
