Happy Sunday! It’s been a few weeks since my last post so I thought I’d give a quick update. I took some time off to spend time with my family and soak up the last few weeks of summer with the kiddos. Can you believe summer is almost over?! 😭 I’m looking forward to getting back into a routine and back to my sewing room, but will certainly miss the slower pace of the summer.

Before taking a break, I made this precious lavender dress for a sweet little 3 year old to wear to a wedding. For the fabric, we went with a lavender batiste and paired it with white Maline laces with the main piece of lace being a wider English lace.

I’ve spent the last few weeks getting reorganized after Easter sewing. My sewing room gets pretty messy, but I like to call it organized chaos 😊 Anyway, I wanted to share the last outfit I made, and it was for my youngest. The shirt was the one he wore for Christmas. I made his blue shorts, which are constructed in Lawn fabric. A simple change of the ribbon from emerald green to baby blue was the final touch.

A few weeks ago a beautiful bride said I Do 💍 to her high school sweetheart. I’ve known the bride since she was 2 months old, and have always considered her like a little sister. She was in my wedding 11 years ago, and last month, my daughter was her flower girl.

I selected white Nelona fabric for the dress. For the laces, I chose champagne Maline laces with Swiss insertion perfectly positioned between the laces. There’s something so timeless in this color combination. Since the brides colors were pale pinks and purples. I wanted to tie her dress into the wedding colors. I added a design to the front with soft pink bullions, and finished the dress off with a pale pink ribbon that tied in the back. .rice.art

I had so much fun making this precious short set for a customer. When my oldest son was two, I made his outfit with a collar similar to this one. I forgot how much I loved it. So when my customer requested this, I was happy to oblige! It’s such a beautiful way to add a little extra to tie in the whole outfit.

Both the shirt and shorts were constructed in ivory Lawn. Champagne Maline laces were used on the shirt.

I wanted to share the matching bubble big brother will wear for little brother’s dedication. I love the unique design of the collar which was a special request from my customer.

The bubble is made of white lawn with champagne Maline lace edging. Then I hand embroidered the featherstitching on the collar and the cross.

This christening gown was sewn especially for a beautiful dedication day for a precious baby boy—simple, timeless, and made to be treasured.

The gown is made of white lawn fabric. The lace is a combination of maline and French Val. I love the white and champagne color combo. The cross was hand embroidered with tucks on each side.
