It's been so long since I've posted anything! A co-worker brought this to me to fix for her. This turtle bracelet started as a stretch bracelet that her wife got her a few years ago on their honeymoon. It broke recently, and because I'd made her a few other pieces, she asked if I could repair it for her. Rather than re-creating a stretch bracelet and possibly not getting the tension right, I made it an adjustable bracelet. It's easy to get on and take off, and it should last her much longer than the original. Since I had to take out two of the turtles to make it fit her, I decided to create a pair of earrings for her (probably the trickiest pair I've done so far) Now she still has the bracelet that means so much to her and something new 😁❀️ I also saw this as a reminder that just because something is broken, it doesn't mean it's lost its value. Sometimes, it's just a matter of becoming something new.

18 years! That's how long I've been making jewelry. It started out as a simple hobby, a way to express my creativity. While it hasn't turned into the hugely successful money machine I had hoped for at one time, it has become something that is much more meaningful to me, because it's not just about me. The jewelry I create always has a meaning behind it, whether it's just a simple beaded bracelet or an elegantly wire-wrapped stone, it means something special to the person who wears it and to me. It means joy, confidence, strength, or whatever it is that person needs at the time. I've come a long way in 18 years and I'm far from done. I'm grateful for my customers, my supporters and followers, and even my suppliers like and , without whom I wouldn't be able to do what I do. Much love and gratitude to all of you ❀️

On 5/23 I had the honor of walking my son down the aisle. He and Caleb exchanged beautiful vows and I was privileged to be there to witness the commitment they have made to each other. I won't post a photo of them without permission but this photo is the necklace I made for Orry and the bracelets were for his bridesmaids. Green aventurine for luck, blessings and lots of love and moonstone for love, new beginnings and balance. They also were a match to his wedding colors. In true Orry fashion there was also significance to the placement of the green stones πŸ™‚The cross was borrowed from my sweet friend Sarah and added additional blessings β™₯️ Orry was beautiful and perfect. Together, he and Caleb were beautiful and perfect and as a Mom it was one of the most precious of my life

Time to bring back a little sparkle to things ✨ Don't get me wrong, I love the wire wrapped, spiritual pieces I create. At the same time, I've been neglecting the sparkly side of my creativity. These upcoming pieces will combine the two 😊 Just in time for Spring πŸŒΈπŸ’

It's finally Fall! It's been an intense 6 months and for sure. I haven't posted in a while and thought I'd update folks who may have wondered where I've been. In the spring I created 2 custom pendants, a gorgeous Herkimer for the beautiful wife of my friend , a stunning Kunzite for Keyana . In between the two, I lost someone dear to me, my 2nd husband. I miss him very much and I will admit it dampened my creativity for a bit. I made a few other items, one of which I gave a sneak peek back in June. The near constant rain this summer brought my mood and energy down making it hard to WANT to be creative. Things started looking up and then my little brother had a horrible accident on the job, which brought back many memories of our dad's accident when I was in high school. Within weeks of his accident I got to witness him exchange vows with a wonderful woman who is now my sister and I couldn't be happier for them! ❀️ My summer ended on a high not with a trip to see my youngest boy and helped him say Yes to a dress for his wedding next May. Through all of this, I've been working on a new website on a new platform with a goal to have it live by October 1. Thank you to everyone who has hung in there with me and my family, for your support through everything, to my customers who have been so patient. And for all of you who've been on an emotional rollercoaster lately... keep going even when you feel you're at your weakest and don't quit. Know that you are seen, you are heard and you are loved.

Sometimes I really love a flat lay photo, especially when I just want something simple and clean. Today's photo challenge is all about flat lay and I also wanted to share some of the tools I use nearly every time I work on new jewelry. My nylon pliers which help straighten wire but also help me hold onto smaller stones or beads without scratching them, tweezer nose pliers, essential for gently closing jump rings or bending wire or working it through tight spots. An incense burner (one of 5 ) is a tool to help me relax and clear my energy when I want to create, and last but not least my selenite plate (which is also an incense burner) which I use to energetically recharge and cleanse the stones that I'm working with allowing their own energy to flow freely. 🩷 Have questions about what I do?
