🥹 He never said a word, but he told Dad exactly what he wanted.
Watch how CJ asks Dad anyway. 🥹
When your child doesn't speak, you learn to look beyond words.
You learn to pay attention to the little things.
A look.A gesture.Something they hand you.
Because they're always communicating. You just have to learn how they're saying it.
The older CJ gets, the better he's getting at finding ways to get his point across.
Today, he wanted Dad to go swimming with him.
He didn't say a word.
Instead, he grabbed Dad's bathing suit and handed it to him.
That was his way of saying,
"Dad, come swim with me."
And Dad knew exactly what he meant.
Moments like this remind me that being nonverbal doesn't mean having nothing to say. It just means finding different ways to say it.❤️
