I just realized this post I made on Monday never posted here on my page, so sharing it now. My apologies for that. 🩷
Hiiii everyone!! 👋 Well, a month+ flew by and I'm sorry for going quiet in here. It's been on my heart and mind this whole time to post and I just haven't. That being said, I've been thinking a lot about the direction of LuluLuxe. 🩷
The expectations I have for myself for this business are greater than what I've been able to keep up with as a one woman show. I set high standards and while I alone can shift those standards and expectations doing that just isn't me.
Our family schedule in this season is increasingly busy. And while I recognize we're far from the only family that's trying to keep up with the non-stop pace of school, sports, and all the things, this, combined with Brian traveling more for work, and my desire to not miss our kids' sports any more than I have to, I've made the bittersweet decision to close LuluLuxe. 💔
This decision hurts my heart but also brings me such a sense of peace.
Starting LuluLuxe officially over 13 years ago with making headbands to transitioning to a clothing boutique almost 7 years ago (!!) has been nothing short of a dream come true for me. I am endlessly grateful to have had the opportunity. I've loved the buying process of the business, meeting each of you at markets, pop-up events, and even opening my home to so many of you. My heart is full thinking back to all of the vendor friends I've made a long the way and customers I've come to call friends as well. 🫶
I'm really feeling a pull to be more present at home in this season. Lucie going to high school and Michael going to middle school next year are both big transitions that I want to be fully in on. Plus, I've got one more year with Beau before he heads off to Kindergarten and I just don't want to miss that time I can have with him at home.
Thank you to each of you that have shopped, supported, encouraged, given me opportunities, and cheered me on these last 13 years. Your support has meant the world to me and I could have never done this without you. 🩷
As LuluLuxe comes to a close all remaining pieces will be available at special pricing and I'll share details on that soon.
At this time, my last event will be this Wednesday, May 6 from 6-9pm at UnionPark Coffee and Cocktails. This is a ticketed event, so grab yours if you want to come see me. It will be super fun and it's truly the cutest place if you haven't been yet. I'd love for you to come out to support the other vendors that will be there. 🩷
*Pic from a few years ago at one of my very favorite markets at Marshall's Antique Warehouse where you guys always showed up so big. Having my mom right alongside me for all these years has made this journey all the more special. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. ❤️
