It’s officially official. Sweet Ginger Vintage is closed, including my online store. It has been a fantastically fun 10 years but it is on to new and different endeavors. All of my clothing/hats/accessories were picked up today by a lovely lady from Eau Claire who will hopefully get as much joy from all of my finds as I did. I had the most wonderful and supportive customers, thank you all for making this time so enjoyable.

SOLD!! I haven’t come across a dress that I’ve liked as much as this one in quite a while! I call her look Western Boho Goddess. I didn’t know I needed these 3 genres all mixed together. As a corset maker myself I LOVE finding original corset/girdle/stays. These are sturdier “appliance” style corsets that were designed for very sturdy back support. There weren’t great options for back pain treatment in the 1950s/60s. Yes, these look cumbersome and like some sort of torture device, but it probably allowed a woman with chronic pain to make it through a day. These are not the fashion, silhouette forming corsets. These are “I just need to make it through a day.” corsets. Corsets can still be used today to relieve chronic pain. They can be the external skeleton to support the body when the internal skeleton is failing. These will be available in my Ruby Lane shop tomorrow, link tree in my bio! ❤️
