It has officially been ONE YEAR since my husband, Anthony, quit his full time job to join The Heart Baker!🥳👏🏻🥰 everyone clap for him!! lol we celebrated with a team building trip to Paris where we ate lots of pastries and took a croissant making class (for research of course)🤪

This decision was one we had mulled over for years and it always felt like a far off dream. But in the last couple of years the business became too much for me to handle on my own. So in January 2025, we put it to prayer and set a hard date that in august we would take the leap🫣 and that’s what we did! I even threw him a surprise party with the theme “Anthony’s whisking it all” in celebration. 😂

This past year has been a crazy one! Learning how to work together, figuring out how to teach Anthony everything I know (which is extra challenging because I ramble A LOT 😅), and finding our rhythm as a team. But it’s also been such a fun and exciting time! We’ve truly grown as a couple and business partners🥰 as scary as it was, I’m very grateful he’s chosen to be a part of this adventure with me!

we have such amazing support from our customers, friends and family that we were able to do this🥹 💕 it’s such a huge blessing to be able to do something I love, something that fulfills us creatively as a means of supporting ourselves.

Our goal is to keep growing, keep improving our efficiency, customer service, and communication (which is what I struggle with the most😅) and keep creating delicious pieces of art for you guys! Thank you for being here with us at The Heart Baker 🥰💕

Finally sharing some moments from our last cake decorating class! I know it’s late, but a HUGE thank you to everyone who showed up! 🥰🩷🥹 thank you for showing up in your florals and beachy outfits, for being patient with me as a teacher haha, and for enjoying each others company even if you had just met! It was so much fun, and I swear everyone already was a professional even though most said they had no experience, their cakes were so good. You can see some of their masterpieces at the end of this post!
