BOUKATE FLORALS NOT TAKING CLIENTS AT THIS TIME**
I’m not sure where to start so let me start here. With the New Year I was thinking about how I really wanted to do things for myself this year. I have lots of anxiety and really bad people pleasing tendencies and so I’ve tried to be intentional and listen to my body and my needs and wants.
I work a full time job and then do flowers on the side. As I was preparing for several weddings coming up, I was just feeling so overwhelmed with everything to do for work and making time for me, my husband, and our home.
I jokingly said to my husband that I wanted to quit my flower business, or at least take a long break. But once I said it out loud, I couldn’t get it out my mind how right that sounded to me. I cried but felt so relieved thinking about just having one job and all the free time that would give me to do the things I need and want.
With that, I am so grateful for this business and for each of you. I’ve pushed myself and grown so much. I’ve met all of you and developed amazing relationships and friends! Thank you for trusting me with your events and weddings. It was amazing working with all of you! I will cherish all these memories forever!
I don’t know if I’ll ever take clients again or when it will be. I just know that right now, I need time away from my business. I will not be taking clients the rest of the year. Thanks you in advance for respecting my decision! I probably won’t be very active on this account, so if you want to stay in touch, follow me on my personal account 💛

Happy {long overdue}🌸FLOWER FRIDAY🌸
Ok you guys idk if I’m allowed to have a favorite flower because this is my profession and I love them all, but this is my favorite flower!
✨Juliet Garden Rose
✨they have a large flower head and when they bloom they have tons of petals that look like a grapefruit!
✨they’re know for their peach colors and they tend to have an ombré coloring
✨they have a very soft scent, but the scent varies
✨the rose was made by David Austin and it took him 15 years to create it! It cost him millions of dollars in the process so it’s sometimes referred to as the “million dollar rose”

Don’t you guys just want a hundred of these in your house always or is just me 😍🤤

🌸HAPPY FLOWER FRIDAY🌸
This week I’m featuring another flower that I used in my wedding because I’m obsessed with those flowers haha 🤷🏽‍♀️
✨strawflowers ⭐️🌻
✨cut strawflowers need very little water!
✨the petals literally feel like straw and they’re such a fun statement because they look like a dried flower even when they’re growing!
✨when strawflowers open, they have a bright yellow center! (see 3rd pic)
✨strawflowers come in oranges, pinks, reds, and whites!
✨who’s officially obsessed with them like me 🙋🏽‍♀️🙋🏽‍♀️🙋🏽‍♀️🙋🏽‍♀️

I’m back with a 🌸FLOWER FRIDAY🌸 for you lovely people!
This beauty is a King Protea!
✨King protea’s are so unique and such a great statement flower!
✨They need TONS of water so make sure to keep adding water to their vases everyday.
✨They are the national flower of South Africa! How cool is that?!
✨They don’t really have a smell
✨They symbolize courage
Fun fact: when I first saw these at the flower market I knew it was going in my bouquet when I got married 💛😍

🌸FLOWER FRIDAY🌸
This flower Friday I have a beautiful filler flower- stalk flowers!
Stalk flowers have many flowers on one stem which makes them unique! It makes arrangements look more full with less stems. These are a specialty flower and typically aren’t at your local grocery store.
I looked really hard for a fun fact for these and google just doesn’t have them!
But how pretty is this color pallet for the stalk flowers?! 😍
