This morning I took an early trip to Dallas for some last-minute supplies to finish a piece for a special occasion for a special lady. While I was in the shop picking out materials, the guy working there and I got into a really in-depth conversation about silver prices — and how yesterday, silver hit an all-time record high.
😳 Yes… read that again. A record. all-time. high.

And let me tell you… that stuck with me the whole drive home.

So let me say this..

Silversmithing is not an easy trade to jump into headfirst. There are so many different artists out there — all different styles, different price ranges, different ways of doing things. And yes, you can always find someone cheaper. But here’s the truth:

We all invest real money, real time, and real heart into what we make.
Raw materials are expensive. Tools are expensive. And when silver spikes like it has… it makes things even more challenging.

Know this, my family and I have felt the support and we are going to keep pushing forward and creating art🫶🏻
