Last week, we had the privilege to be part of "The Fringe Revolution," an incredible event celebrating women artisans who are designing new worlds.
The event included auctions, a runway show, and a panel discussion where we shared our stories and had deep and meaningful conversations.
The fundraising campaign by was a huge success, raising $1M of the $2M goal set by the foundation for their 2-year plan.
This achievement demonstrated that, as a community, we are stronger together. Our driving force is to connect artists, their language, and stories from different cultures. That's why we are part of causes that connects, and we feel honored to have been part of Ibu's global champions for their 10-year celebration.
The event was truly inspiring, an interchange of incredible stories of women who are making a real impact on their communities.
The panel discussion was particularly moving, with the experiences shared, personal anecdotes and emotional language a feeling of empathy was felt in the room, that helped us all connect and remember It's crucial to look after and support women artisans, their knowledge and their work, as it has a profound (direct and indirect) impact on their communities and the world at large.
By celebrating their stories and experiences, we can help bring attention to the vital work they do constructing sostenible businesses so they can continue making a difference.
We feel grateful to have been part of such an important community that vibrates in the continuing call to serve promoting connection and celebrate diversity.
A especial thank you to Susan Walker, Hannah Blatt, Austin Walker, Pat Mitchell, Ally McGraw, Marisa Nemirow, Meredith and the Ibu team.
