Metalsmith Jaydan Moore transforms heirlooms into artistry. Drawing from a collection of antique silver platters sourced from thrift stores, online marketplaces, and private donations, Moore carefully outlines each object’s decorative motifs before cutting them into fragments. Guided by an initial vision, he then reassembles the pieces, connecting patterns and forms until intricate sculptural compositions emerge. Rooted in a lifelong fascination with storied objects and their histories, his work gives new life to heirlooms while preserving traces of their past.
