Every designer or fashion boutique owner wants to jump right into a brick-and-mortar. But are you ready for the big leap yet?

1. Have you develop an strong and amazing marketing strategy?

2. Have you figured out your true price point? Have you figured out who you will be catering to?

3. Have you figured out what are you gonna do to make sure that you can meet your sales quota for your first six months?

4. What are you gonna do to make sure that you can also pay yourself but then also pay your bills for the next six months why are you starting?

These are questions that you have to ask yourself when you are looking to start a brick and mortar. Have you considered this because these questions are really important?

When you are a new label and you’re trying to land your contracts deals with manufacturing and textile companies; the key is to know what you are talking about and what you want.

🛑 Manufacturing:

So knowing asking those right question with the manufacturing companies to make sure that you and them have a understanding on you having full control of the production period, turn around times, garment samples, and also what is their minimum order quantity.

🛑 Textile Mills:

The key thing about the textile mills to honestly honestly know exactly what you want and need. You really need to understand that you need to know the exact color and fabric contents that you are looking for from the stretch to the width. Calling them and just giving them a color and saying you just want a red spandex fabric is okay but you have to let them know if you want the lux or the cheap fabric because they will assume that you want the cheapest one and you will receive fabric that you didn’t want.

🚨 Remember choosing the wrong manufacturing company can you result in a bad relationship and you not getting your products on time and also choosing the wrong fabrics for a design can really impact your seasonal sales, buyers sales, product quality.
