Our services include: roving, batts, and 2 or 3 ply yarns focusing on small farm processing. I have been a fiber artist for 37 years beginning as a crocheter, then learning to knit, spin, machine knit, weave, felt, dye, rug punch, teach, compete, judge, and process. In 2010 I made the decision that fiber processing and a Fiber Mill was going to be our goal. This goal took a plan the first step in
the plan was to learn as much as I could about the fiber world and never stop learning. To begin our fiber processing journey we began offering production hand spun yarn. In 2016 we made the leap from San Diego, CA to Milford, ME searching for the perfect location for the Fiber Mill we wanted. In the meantime we made small changes to the services that we offered, adding services to include carding batts and hand pulled roving as well as hand spun yarn. In 2020 an opportunity arose that allowed us to purchase our first large carder and roving deck. This upgrade in machinery gave us the ability to see the future getting closer and add machine roving to the mill services. In 2022 The largest upgrade with the Belfast Mini Mill which now allows us to offer services to include washing, picking, carding for batts and roving, and spinning. Fiber processing is our passion. As you can see our mill is only growing and we plan to continue with the growth in fiber processing. We do not own the animals and have no plans to be a fiber farm. I prefer to spend my time processing and supporting our local fiber industry.
