At work, I design buildings and create functional spaces. For my brides, I design simple forms and create distinctly beautiful gowns. Fabric inspires me. I'm constantly sketching, planning, and filing away ideas to draw from in the future. I have always loved fashion and believe it to be the architecture of fabric, color, and texture. Many brides feel that a gown off the rack is their only option
and spend ridiculous amounts of time hunting through racks of tulle and sparkle looking for "the one." As a result, they often end up with a beautiful gown that overpowers their own natural beauty. In my daily life, I surround myself with fabric, Nordic skiing, green living, photography, the outdoors, goofy behavior, and smart design. But most of all, I surround myself with my family and friends. I'm inspired by my kids, whose laughter and smiles give me energy, and mostly by my husband, who provides constant love, support, and encouragement. My design philosophy:
