Ever wondered how to prep your quilt for longarm quilting? Here are some valuable tips. 🧵✨

1️⃣ Backing is crucial! Make sure it’s at least 4 inches larger than your quilt top on all four sides. That means an extra 8 inches larger in both directions. A little extra room ensures a smooth process. 📏

2️⃣ Keep your quilt top and back separate. No need to pin or baste them together; we’ve got that covered. 🧵

3️⃣ Borders matter! Use your pattern’s cutting instructions as a guide, not a strict rule. Measure your quilt top and cut your borders to fit it perfectly. No waves, no problem! 🌊

4️⃣ Flat and even is the goal. Ensure your piecing and borders lie flat. Longarm quilting can’t fix uneven borders, which might cause puckers or tucks. 🦋

5️⃣ Press those seams flat for a polished look. Your quilt deserves it! ✂️🧼

6️⃣ Say no to bed sheets as backing. Opt for quality quilting fabrics for the best results. 🛏️

7️⃣ If your top or backing is directional, mark it clearly. It helps us maintain the design’s integrity. 🌼
