Maker Center Missoula The Maker Center will provide Missoulians access to the tools and people necessary for concept creation.

Have you ever said: “Why didn’t I think of that?”

Or muttered the words: “There has to be a better way to do this.”

It is likely those two phrases have come out of everyone’s mouth at one time or another. The problem is that very few people have actually been able to turn their idea into a “Million dollar idea”. Most people think they have not been trained in how to create or build prototypes, a

nd others may think they lack the skill or tools to follow through. The Maker Center Missoula (MCM) will alleviate that problem. The MCM will be a community member-based workshop that offers a full array of creative tools for inventors and non-inventors that will enable them to take ideas from concept to reality. The MCM will be a place to work on all sorts of hobbies or projects, from metal fabrication to sewing. People will become members of the Workshop to pursue ideas they have to make their and others’ lives better. Please take a few minutes and fill out our market survey.

To all our faithful: We may not have won the competition on Thursday, as the judges didn't think we had what it takes. But let it be known we are far from done as the amount of interest and support we have received for this plan has far exceeded our expectations. Thank you to all that have supported our idea and business plan, we have been selected to present in the Semi-final round of the Ruffato Business Plan Competition next Thursday! We have to present in the morning to make the cut for the final round in the evening (open to the public) where we'll compete for part of $25,000 in prizes! If we make the cut, we'll let you all know so you can come down and support us!
