From catch-all storage room… to my little corner of the barn where dreams get planned and calves still get fed. 🤎✨

Proof that even on a working farm, you can create a space that inspires you.

Meet our official Pasture Rockstar. 🤘🐄🎸
This little heifer is heading into her first breeding season, and with a mohawk like that, she deserves a rockstar name to match.
So, help us out… what female rock legend should we name her after? 🎤✨
🎸 Stevie?🎸 Dolly?🎸 Joan?🎸 Janis?

Most people see the cattle.

They don’t always see the welding, the fence building, the trees being planted, the grain bins being set, or the weekends spent working after a full week on the job.

Could we spend our Saturdays relaxing? Sure.

Instead, we’re investing in something bigger than ourselves.

Every panel, every post, every tree, and every improvement is another step toward building a farm that can stand for generations. Not because we’re trying to feed the world, but because we believe local farms matter. Rural communities matter. And families should still have a chance to know where their food comes from.

We’re simply doing our part to leave the land better than we found it and build something strong enough to serve our community for another 100 years.

A little bit of curiosity, a little bit of mischief, and a whole lot of personality. ❤️

From nosy cows and silly calves to horses making funny faces and donkeys inspecting everything, these are the moments that make farm life so special.

They may keep us on our toes, but they sure keep us smiling. 🐮🐴✨

My father in law’s horse was in need of some immediate shade. It’s been 100 plus for a couple of days. So ….
🚜 one tractor +one round bale + zero engineering degrees = problem solved

I wish farmland never disappeared.

I wish every child knew where their food came from.

I wish more people could feel the peace that comes from standing in a pasture at sunset.

I wish we weren’t always in such a hurry to get to the next thing.

I wish we trusted seasons more than schedules.

I wish we remembered that growth takes time—whether it’s a field of millet, a herd of cattle, or a life well lived.

Until then, I’ll keep finding hope out here where the grass grows, the cows graze, and the setting sun reminds me that some things are still worth waiting for.

Getting up early to work on me and my new goals and dreams. I’ve spent 25 years dedicated to being the best teacher I could be for my students and loved every minute of it (well …. Maybe not every minute but most of them 😉). Im so excited for my new journey but also having time to stop and enjoy moments like this one. Just me and Max cooling off under a shade tree after a “just because I wanted to” ride. Just like that … I’m loving life (even more) again.
