There she is and she is in route to Montana. šŸ„° What am I going to do now? At some point earlier this year, I thought about starting an online Zoom group for longarmers in the guilds that I belong to. Bringing them together to learn about longarming. The answer that I received, was YES do it! We have seasoned pros, veterans, beginners and people who have never touched their machines!! But, we are learning. This was our third get together and we had an amazing speaker, Kaye Collins of Oh Kaye Quilting. She is a Handi Quilter educator and a Cuddle Ambassador. She taught us about Cuddle and how to longarm it šŸ„° Thanks to Close to Home and Bits N' Pieces Quilt Shoppe for being so generous to our group! Thank you to Shannon Fabrics for sending Kaye our way!

Today, I had the honor of going to West Point to attend a Tunnel to Towers event. Almost 25 years. I can remember my days, weeks, months that I spent in Manhattan so clearly, still after all this time. My friend, Maritza went with me today. We went through the police academy together, graduating in February 1994. There are so many people who supported this terrorist act against our country; who donā€™t believe it happened. Unfortunately, I can assure you that it happened. I am grateful for Tunnel to Towers and their mission and for helping my nephewā€™s family.

This quilt was bright and beautiful, so I did not want to interfere with those bold colors! I used So Fine #521 by Superior Threads which is a pretty pale orange. Just enough to see the quilting and blending in with the bright colors. The edge to edge design is Stars with a Bang 02 by A Bit Orange
