On April 1st, I made an April fools post talking about putting an end to Solemn Apparel.

Well, unfortunately I have decided to actually bring this chapter to a close. I've not felt that creative spark in quite some time and if I'm being honest, even with low expectations, this isn't doing as well as I hoped/thought it would be after nearly three years.

For all those who have genuinely been supportive by purchasing stuff and sharing the page/website, I appreciate you all.

I just don't have it in my heart to keep something going when it isn't doing anything. Haven't made a sale in months and at this point, I'm just ready to let it go. I'll be bringing everything down from the website at the end of June. So if you've ever wanted a piece of Solemn Apparel gear, this is the time to do it. Because once it's gone, it's gone.

I never thought I’d be writing this.

After a lot of long nights and some honest reflection… I’ve decided to bring Solemn Apparel to a close.

This started as just me—an idea, a vision, and something I needed to prove to myself. Somewhere along the way, it became bigger than that. And that’s because of you.

Every order, every share, every message… it all meant more than I can put into words.

But sometimes, even the things you build with everything you’ve got don’t last forever.

So this is it.

No big sendoff. Just appreciation.

A year ago, our boys in Truckstop Dickpill lost one of their own. We released this shirt in his honor. It is still, and always will be available for anyone who knew him and would want to honor his legacy!

Some will say, “Stay out of politics.”

But when bombs fall and the debris includes classrooms, silence doesn’t sit right.

In the early hours of this morning, U.S. and Israeli strikes hit areas in Iran as part of efforts to cripple nuclear capability. Among the destruction was an elementary school. Whether it was the intended target or an unintended casualty, the result is the same: a place meant for children caught in the blast radius of geopolitics.

That is heavy.

War rarely confines itself to the lines drawn on a map. It spills. It fractures. It leaves ordinary people to absorb the shockwave. We were told we would avoid new entanglements. Yet here we are again, watching tensions escalate and wondering how wide this spreads.

Solemn Apparel stands for resilience, accountability, and the weight of consequence. We do not celebrate destruction, and we do not support leadership that moves us closer to prolonged conflict without reckoning with the human cost.

If that conviction costs us followers, we accept that.

We would rather be consistent with our conscience than comfortable in silence.
