Day in the life as a seamstress!

Sometimes my days are glamorous and filled with the most fun work. Other days we’re doin hems and ordering zippers! Never a dull moment.

It’s officially the best time of the year!
Join us for some new and return events this month.

👻Intro to leather work on October 14th 5-7 PM. This class is taught by the talented Handy_Leather ! In this class students will be taught the basics of hand leather work whilst completing a bag charm kit.

🎃Back by popular demand, our DIY pumpkin patch class. Taking place on Sunday October 18th 11-1. In this class students are lead through the process of sewing fabric pumpkins. The best part? You get to make as many as your heart desires in 2 hours.

👻Club Sewklahoma will be on Wednesday October 21st! RSVPs are not yet open but will soon. Our project this month will be a bring your own diy Halloween costume. This is by far my favorite meet each year!

🎃Last but not least our tried and true machine Scaries class! Taking place October 29th 5:45-7:45, we will be sewing scrunchies this month! This class is designed for absolute beginners.

We can’t wait to get spooky folks.

Going back to our roots this Saturday at COOP Ale Works !!

Come and get some of our OG classic car half and half ts. Our entire booth will be dedicated to these bad boys. We have so many different fun styles and can’t wait to see you from 1-6! First come first serve, no holds!

When I first started Acid Lime at 18 I was freshly into what it meant to upcycle. Growing up my dad always had a classic car in the garage. He and his car buds would use their car show T-shirts as rags, would wear them until there were holes in the armpits, and grease them up. Once they got to the point of no return, to the trash them went! Until I came along. I started collecting their discards turning them into half and half Ts, shorts, scrunchies, and sometimes even bags. It’s truly what got me started in evolving in my terms what it meant to upcycle. Now after leaving my half and half Ts behind to tailor & teach full time, they’re back!

Thanks to all of my dad’s classic car homies, I’ve never been more stocked with collectible Ts from streetrod nationals, local shows, and USA based automotive companies. So you’re getting a whole booth of it!

Come on out to COOP Ale Works on Saturday September 26th from 1-6. My dad will be there with his buds and has promised you can take photos in his car if you come support his daughter.

We’re hosting 3 classes this month.
💚RAGS TO RICHES💚
Join us in exploring the world of upcycling with Keylime Academy’s Rags to Riches class. Our Rags to Riches class is perfect for beginner and intermediate sewers. In this 3 hour class, you will learn how to repurpose everyday items and turn them into one-of-a-kind treasures. Bring 2-3 garments or pieces from your collection and learn how to transform them into trendy and sustainable pieces.
💚DIY POT HOLDER💚
The DIY Pot Holder class guides you through ksewing a quirky and useful pot holder. In this class students will be taught bias tape techniques and insulbrite use. In just 2.5 hours, you’ll gain hands-on skills and confidence in sewing construction, making a handy item for your kitchen or a thoughtful gift. Once you start making these you simply won’t want to stop!
💚MACHINE SCARIES 💚
Learn the ins and outs of your sewing machine with Keylime Academy’s Machine Scaries class. This basic class will help ease any anxieties you may have about using your sewing machine. Gain confidence and master your machine with the guidance of an expert.
This class includes a step-by-step guide on how to thread your machine, how to set up your machine, and how to do a series of basic stitches.

Our books for alterations and private lessons are back open. If you’re a 26/27 bride get in ASAP! Our schedule is filling fast.
