Happy birthday to Regina Rene King, dubbed Time Magazine’s “one of the 100 most influential people in the world.” This beloved actress and director has won 4 Emmy awards, an Oscar, an Academy Award, a Golden Globe and directed hit TV shows “Scandal” and “This is Us.” We will never forget her roles as Marcee Tidwell on Jerry McGuire, Margie Hendrix in Ray, and Sam Fuller on Miss Congeniality 2: Armed & Fabulous.
Regina has become a political activist who has spoken out about the importance of voting, particularly in marginalized communities, and her disappointment at the current division in our country. She has called upon us all not to be “complacent” and has said, “Everything I’ve approached, I’ve approached powerfully.”
