What a beautiful evening at the Horticultural Society of Middle Tennessee's “Summer Aperitivo in the Garden” at Cheekwood's Botanic Garden!
Guests enjoyed cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres on the terrace surrounded by Cheekwood’s stunning gardens. Inside, gorgeous floral arrangements created by society members and displays highlighting a variety of trees added to the evening’s charm.
The amazing model train display wasn’t running—but I will be back soon to see it!
To top off an already lovely evening, guests were treated to a glorious sunset providing the perfect ending to a memorable evening. It was a wonderful celebration of gardens, nature, and friendship. 🌿🌸 Horticultural Society of Middle Tennessee Cheekwood

The long-anticipated arrival of Boka Restaurant Group’s three new concepts in Wedgwood-Houston has finally arrived—and in spectacular fashion.

The three stunning venues are connected, yet each offers its own distinct personality and style.

Momotaro Nashville, led by Chef Partner Gene Cato, pays homage to Japanese culinary traditions through a modern dining experience. The atmosphere is elegant, moody, and beautifully designed.

Alla Vita Nashville, under the direction of Chef Lee Wolen, serves Italian cuisine featuring house-made pasta, wood-fired pizzas, and more. The space strikes the perfect balance between beautiful and inviting, with a warm, family-style dining experience.

Nestled between the two restaurants is Middleman Nashville, a sophisticated and sexy whiskey bar that provides the perfect setting for a pre-dinner cocktail or a nightcap.

Boka Restaurant Group is widely regarded as one of the premier chef-driven restaurant groups in the country, and now Nashville is home to three of its acclaimed concepts right in the heart of Wedgwood-Houston.

I’ve already made my reservation! 🍣🍕🥃

We were delighted to visit the second Nashville location of Fishmonger in the bustling creative hub of the Wedgewood-Houston neighborhood. The space is cozy, with ambient lighting and cool coastal vibes. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and enjoyed meeting the owners, who were gracious, welcoming, and happy to share the stories behind their dishes.

We sampled several menu items, beginning with the shrimp, which was perfectly seasoned with a special blend of spices and served with a homemade cocktail sauce that had just the right amount of zing. We also enjoyed two varieties of raw oysters, both exceptionally fresh and delicious.

The Green Curry Mussels, served with fresh herbs and sourdough bread, were absolutely outstanding. The bread came with their signature lobster butter, while the Coconut Shrimp was paired with a flavorful sweet chili sauce. Fishmonger’s famous blackened fish sandwich never disappoints and remains a standout favorite. The Hamachi Tartare and Tuna Carpaccio were equally impressive and beautifully prepared.

For dessert, we shared the Key Lime Pie, which provided the perfect ending to a delicious meal. Fishmonger also offers a thoughtfully curated selection of wine, beer, and craft cocktails.

With its elevated yet casual atmosphere, warm hospitality, and fresh, creative seafood dishes, Fishmonger is sure to be a big hit in WeHo! 🐠 Fishmonger Group

The W Nashville was filled to capacity with excited guests for the grand opening celebration of Bar Mar Nashville, Zaytinya, Butterfly Nashville, and Glowbird—the four newest culinary concepts from the acclaimed José Andrés Group. Hosted by José Andrés himself, the evening was filled with live music, handcrafted cocktails, deliciously prepared food, and plenty of fun.
Throughout the event, José mingled with guests, signed copies of his book, and shared in the excitement of the evening. Each guest received a complimentary copy of the book, making the experience even more memorable.
The night concluded on the rooftop at Butterfly, where we enjoyed cocktails while taking in views of the Nashville skyline—a perfect ending to an elegant and fun evening.

Sally's Stay Awhile, the new all-day restaurant from Strategic Hospitality, is now open in Wedgewood-Houston, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week. With a coffee and cocktail bar, plus a menu that ranges from breakfast favorites to happy hour specials and dinner, there is truly something for everyone in a casual, relaxed atmosphere.
Our server was friendly, attentive and helpful, making sure we knew we could still take advantage of the Happy Hour drink specials. We ordered the Pan Roasted Salmon with fingerling potatoes, leeks, kale and dill sauce along with the Chicken Cutlet. Both dishes were delicious and beautifully prepared. We were also tempted by the dessert menu, which offered several yummy options.
With the feel of a neighborhood café and gathering spot, Sally’s is the perfect place to meet friends or have a casual business lunch or dinner. The restaurant features two patios, a cozy bar area, and perhaps most importantly in Nashville, plenty of parking.
Happy Hour runs from 3:00 to 6:00 pm daily and is one of the best in town, featuring two-for-one cocktails, beer and wine, as well as a hot dog du jour. Regular hours are 7:00 am to 10:00 pm every day, with weekend brunch served from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. Reservations are available, though walk-ins are always welcome.
Sally’s Stay Awhile has all the makings of a cozy neighborhood favorite and is sure to become a go-to destination for locals and visitors alike.

As an art lover, I was thrilled to attend the soft opening of Larrydiditt Studios at Houston Station in the heart of Wedgewood-Houston’s vibrant creative community. Artist Larry Stewart and his lovely fiancée, Lani Jean Lupton, warmly welcomed guests into the light-filled studio, showcasing his distinctive Western-inspired works featuring his signature cowboys in wide-brim hats, buffalo, cowboy boots, and abstract figures brought to life through mixed media and richly layered textures.

One of the highlights of the evening was seeing Larry’s works in progress near the large windows at the back of the studio, offering a glimpse into his creative process. The space itself is inspiring, and visitors can also explore the halls of Houston Station, where Larry’s paintings are displayed throughout the historic building.

If you’re looking for a unique art experience in Nashville, this exciting new studio is well worth a visit. Follow on Instagram to discover his latest creations and limited-edition prints.

The Los Angeles based lifestyle brand, Favorite Daughter, founded by Erin and Sarah Foster has officially arrived in Nashville’s 12 South neighborhood, bringing its elevated staples, signature denim, and effortless California style to town.
The sisters were on hand to welcome guests at the opening celebration, which featured drinks and bites from Craig's Nashville and a live performance by Just Jayne. The store was packed with shoppers eager to get a first look at the collection, including stylish denim, dresses, tops, jackets, and accessories.
One comment I heard throughout the evening was how well the denim fits and how comfortable it feels. After hearing so many rave reviews, I’m looking forward to a return trip to try on a few styles myself.
Welcome to Nashville, Favorite Daughter! .daughter

We are incredibly fortunate to have the Frist Art Museum here in Nashville, and two outstanding new exhibitions have just opened.
“Interwoven” showcases the renowned immersive installations of Anila Quayyum Agha, one of the most sought-after contemporary artists in the United States. Her work ranges from intricately beaded and embroidered pieces to richly textured textiles and breathtaking large-scale light installations. Every piece is captivating, creating an experience that is both intimate and awe-inspiring.
The Surrealism exhibition features works by several artists, including many well-known names. The collection is thought-provoking and engaging, spanning the spectrum from whimsical and dreamlike to unsettling and provocative. It invites visitors to explore the unexpected and challenges the way we see the world.
I highly recommend both exhibitions.
I also must mention the Frist Art Museum’s gift shop. Wonderfully curated, it features creations by local designers alongside artisans and makers from around the world. There is always a thoughtful connection to the museum’s current exhibitions, with merchandise inspired by the featured artists and themes. Whether you’re searching for the perfect gift or a unique treasure for yourself, it’s a destination worth visiting in its own right.
