Welcome to our nonprofit organization. My name is Ellie and my partners name is Laura. I had this wonderful idea one day that it would be nice to be able to help the homeless. After traveling down to Penndot and seeing tent city as they call it, I realize that the homeless population is greater than what we would ever imagine, that being said, I had this wonderful idea one day that maybe I could help. I would like to make sure that homeless/less fortunate adults and children have shoes on their feet and a clean pair of socks, too. Everyone deserves to have shoes on their feet and a pair of socks with their new to them shoes. I am going to be setting times and locations to have a drop off where you can bring old shoes and we will take them and rehome them to someone that needs them. We are asking for any sneakers, boots, or hikers, and any socks that are in decent shape. Once it gets warmer out, we will be taking donations for flip-flops and sandals. If you do have those on hand and want to bring them along at any of these drop off meetings you may do so.
We do realize that this is something that is greater than just us but if we can just help a few people out, that would be great. We would love to help local people. We also would like to at some point start handing out bagged lunches to include perhaps a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, bottle of water, and maybe a snack cake of some form with their shoes but that’s at a later date. Thank you for taking the time to read our bio, and if you are unable to make any donations, please share our page as someone else may have a pair of shoes that they have sitting around that have Life left. That could be very useful to someone else who can’t afford a pair. Have a blessed day!
* we will accept any men, women, or children’s shoes, as long as they are in wearable condition.*
