You know, I am addicted to treasure hunting, got that from outings with my mother. Those outings were very special. Each treasure I find brings me right back to our hunts when we would compare, get excited, agree, and sometimes disagree but always we were aligned and the closest we would ever be. And after our adventures, we would stop for a treat at one of many places-- "The Cup" for philly cheesesteaks, "Food Fair" for grilled cheese; Bause's for milk shakes; the drive in for a California Burger and too many more to name. I really miss these times with my mom.

Just sold another vintage print by Kolene E. Spicher.
*****************************************************
I have one more Kolene E. Spicher which you can see in the photos above. https://www.etsy.com/listing/1389738018/framed-giclee-print-o-isaac-and-rebecca?click_key=912423daf9eddd18acdca704fca749df8d618166%3A1389738018&click_sum=e155d89c&ref=shop_home_active_3&frs=1

"Noah Had a Plan" is a giclee was printed and framed by the artist in 1994. The original had been painted on layered fabric pieces with Spicher's name stitched at the lower left, and signed in three places. The framed giclee was signed Kolene E. Spicher in pencil on the back and it includes the date 1994.

The combed frame was also decorated by the artist using the "combing" method. This is very typical of early American decoration.

The framed work that I sold was a giclee print from the original, an early work made by the artist in 1994 or earlier, around the time that she and her husband were starting their Carlisle PA company "Spicher and Company."

Sadly, Spicher passed away in 2022.

This is a print. It is not an original fabric painting. It is signed on the back by the artist and dated 1994.

Perfect to compliment your farmhouse style decor.

Walter Inglis Anderson is an artist who was discovered after his death and has since been called a genius, a national treasure and more. A museum has been built in his honor and a documentary has been produced about him on PBS.

A strong graphic that at first appears to be abstract but upon closer inspection is an organic representation of a plant and three dragonflies. The original of this work was a woodcut by Walter Anderson himself but this is a silkscreen of that original woodcut. So it is technically a reproduction but it is an actual print using the silkscreen.

Dorothy Palmer passed away in July of 2021 at the age of 93. She was a well respected Nantucket artist who worked in a floral theme in oil, acrylic, and pastel. This pastel study is signed and her name is also written on the back of the frame along with the sale price of $65. I am almost certain this was a sketch that she donated to a fundraiser.

Palmer's signature on the drawing is different than the flamboyant signature on her paintings and I attribute that to when she made this pastel, most likely later in life. But the subject and the style of her paintings and this study are so similar that I am sure this is done by Dorothy Palmer in later life.

Dorothy Palmer was born in 1928 and was from both Hingham and Nantucket Island, both of Massachusetts. Palmer is known worldwide for her colorful and energetic floral works. Her unique impressionist-style work has been delighting collectors for over 60 years. She was invited to participate in American Painters in Paris Exhibition and was honored by the White House with an invitation to create Easter Artwork currently on exhibit at The Smithsonian. Her work is in museums and private collections both here and abroad.

I am offering the original pastel study. This is not a print.

Print of a watercolor painting by David Bridgeman. This somewhat abstract work uses a colorful palette that explores the relationship between indoor and outdoor landscapes.

The title is Red Window and it is number 81/1500. In a large run like this one, the smaller numbers are more valuable. The frames are wood that has gilding applied. The matte is a dark green to compliment the reds and blues in the print. It is signed in pencil by the artist.

David Bridgeman was born in Oxford in 1959 and settled in the Cayman Islands in 1987. His work is in private collections and the public collections of CNCF, CINM, and NGCI.
