This quote articulates the single most important message for your marriage: Christ is enough. He's plenty.

It's romantic to want to "be completed" by each other in marriage, but that sentiment causes all sorts of problems. Only Christ can complete you... make you whole.

When we (knowingly or unknowingly) expect our spouse to meet our deepest needs, we set them up for failure. Yes, as spouses, there are "needs" that we can help meet for each other. But the deepest needs - meaning, security, identity, purpose - can only be met in Christ.

When we look to Christ for our needs we are always filled, always overflowing.
Remember: "The steps of man are established by the Lord, when he delights in his way; though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong, for the Lord upholds his hand." Psalm 37:23-24

Stay fierce,
Ryan & Selena
