I want to address some of the concerns and comments I’ve seen regarding pre-orders and order timelines.
First, every order is different. Comparing one customer’s order to another customer’s order does not provide the full picture. I offer both ready-to-ship items and pre-orders, and each order may contain different products, production timelines, shipping methods, or circumstances.
As many of you know, I recently transitioned to a new supplier. During that transition, a sizing issue was discovered with an entire tutu production run. Rather than sending out products that were not made correctly, I made the decision to have every affected tutu remade to ensure customers received the quality and sizing they paid for. Because many customers had additional items included in those orders, those shipments could not be fulfilled until the replacement tutus arrived.
For those affected, it does not matter whether the order was placed in January, February, or later. The delay was tied specifically to those remade items and the time required for reproduction.
I also want to remind everyone that all pre-orders include estimated timelines. Estimated means exactly that—an estimate. While I do everything possible to meet those dates, there are times when factors outside of my control, such as supplier delays, production issues, shipping disruptions, or manufacturing errors, can impact delivery timelines. These possibilities are outlined in my shop policies and product descriptions, which customers acknowledge before checkout.
While I am unable to individually contact every customer whenever a supplier issue arises, I do provide updates through posts and stories whenever I receive new information. I also work hard to make things right when delays occur, whether that means providing discounts, upgrading shipping at my own expense, shipping directly to resorts, or making other accommodations to help customers receive their items in time for their trips and events.
What I find disappointing is seeing individuals publicly speak on orders they did not place or situations they are not directly involved in. Many of the people commenting have never personally ordered from my shop, yet are making assumptions about orders they know very little about. Many arrangements are made privately with customers based on their individual needs, travel dates, and circumstances. Unless you are the customer involved, you likely do not have all of the information.
I care deeply about my customers, my business, and the products I create. Anyone who has ordered from me knows that I will go above and beyond whenever possible. I have shipped directly to resorts, upgraded shipping at my own expense, overnighted packages, and done everything I reasonably can to help customers receive their items when needed.
Constructive questions are always welcome. However, speculation, misinformation, and public commentary from individuals who are not involved in a transaction are neither helpful nor productive.
I appreciate those who continue to support my small business, show grace when unexpected situations arise, and understand that I am always doing my best to deliver quality products while being transparent every step of the way.
