Never a dull moment with and behind the lens. When I make new work like this harness and paddle it pains me to throw it on my table and snap something to share. I develop such a deep connection to my work before it sells and I ever have a chance to play with it myself these days. A lot of times I do a stress test, shoot it and out the door they go. It can be months or a year even before I have enough inventory to own a piece myself, so I know more than most how it’s an investment to own handmade work. The time, money and energy that goes into every piece makes it so and when I finally add to my collection any maker’s work I know just how much attention and love that’s locked into it. It’s more than most “art”- it’s blood, sweat, love, sacrifice, practice, dreaming, research, play, planning, experimenting, restless nights, asking for help, second guessing, someone closing their eyes and hitting post; it’s takes just so so much effort and courage to dream something up, find ways to see it through and then share it with the world and hope someone believes in it too. Sometimes there’s no return and there’s no way to know what will, but we do it anyway because it means so much to take a stab at your dreams, to follow what feels good and true to you.

I have to say “creating content” can be a bore sometimes. So I spend a lot of time playing and finding ways to collaborate and keep it explorative. This look was so fun and honestly meant so much to try something new on this page. These horns, made by , made my Capricorn heart go pitter patter. Sometimes I can’t believe how much I show of myself on here but I’m so proud of myself for picking up modeling along with everything else. I enjoy it. I hope you do too.

I love seeing coming into character in EV Harness and unreleased Revel Chain Collar. She grabbed a handful of chain after that leather hit & showed us how you tease yourself with a leash! Of course we all followed, but she started it!!

This was a fun one to imagine. It was a double hip bag commission for woman in the movie biz! It was a challenge I happily accepted & it really made me grow as an artist. She wanted something special for her radio, but also one for her phone, keys, wallet, and chapstick. I love making things customized to people’s lives. It makes me feel like it’ll really get the love it needs in its second life, and that makes the whole process worth it!

We can’t keep our eyes off of you when you relax into your you-ness. We’re all learning from each other. Hopefully learning what makes this life beautiful, easeful and worth thriving in. Settle into you this week. Don’t be afraid to show who you really are. And watch as the people mirror you & take you in, even if it clocks as a gawk first. They’ll process then they’ll mirror. Don’t be surprised when they do. It’s not stealing. It’s their first step outside their box & you were their inspiration. Just continue to be you. And watch how sweet it gets. While people will tell you no one is watching, it’s true in a sense too that everyone is watching, for a moment… & then something else grabs us. It’s just how our brains work… now. So be you. Please, be you. We need you to break the patterns that people live in, to be inspired by, to be moved by 🫶🏾

The Richelle set is everything a girl could want. It brings me joy to make things for and with gender nonconforming people. Finding a way to make it make sense is the goal as a designer. I just want to ask all the questions and hit all the points, and this, this hit alllll the points.
