After hearing a factual story today of a man in his very early 30s pass with his crew doing all they could and paramedics… the question is how can I help what can I even say to make that better… it’s so so tragic.
Here is one way- help a family that has a survivor saving his family after ag equipment flipped but their livelihood is at risk and normalcy is out the window. If everyone around the world donated at dollar… or what one of her products at the stand would cost: it goes a long way!
Pay if forward in the ways you always wish you could have helped before even not knowing any of these individuals personally in my time of need: an army I never knew showed up without question

This year was supposed to be the one. THE yeast we got everything going smoothly. As we all know life often throws us a curveball. One month ago it was a normal day, we ran errands, got propane and picked up a tiller to prep new garden space. Then Derek got flipped over and caught inside the tiller trying to save Me (Hailey) and our 6 month old baby. Our lives stopped in one instant and we ended up thrown into the chaos of emergency surgeries and learning how to function again.
Derek had an 8-10 inch cut on his right knee severing multiple muscles and ligaments just barely missing the artery. We were very lucky in the damage that was done, however it is still extensive and on its own was expected to take a couple of months to return to usual activities.
We arrived home on Monday and by thursday afternoon we had to go back to the hospital and underwent an emergency exploratory surgery to straighten out intestines that had flipped. This of course complicated his recovery again and resulted in another 6 days in thr hospital (total of 11 days out of 14)
Now we have been back home for 2 weeks and able to form a more normal life. Unfortunately this will be a very long road to recovery veteran being able to resume duties as not only a father, but a paramedic, and farmers. None of these activities are gentle on the body, and require the ability to move freely. We begin the process with PT soon.
As our primary income is unavailable we are focusing efforts to build engagement, start working on other avenues to help offset medical bills. Every bit of engagement is helpful as we dial in on our page!
Thank you to anyone who has made it this far! We greatly appreciate all of those around us, our village has shown up to help between babysitting, farm and moral support, and supporting Haileys business.
