🗣️Hey everyone out there! Do you know someone with excellent tailoring skills looking for some extra work? Maybe this someone is you? We are looking for part time tailoring help at our New Bedford shop, specifically someone who is quick and proficient with more basic types of tailoring and repairs like hemming casual clothing, sewing buttons, patching holes. We have high standards at our shop and would like to have someone who takes pride in their work join our team. The starting pay is $20-$25/Hr depending on experience and level of proficiency. Hey! Hours this week~
Studio at 106 Williams St. open 2-6 on Thursday with Zulay. We have a rack of $5 pre-loved goodies outside and locally and sustainably made goodies inside not to mention a great selection of books to get you inspired to start your sewing/mending journey. Zu can also chat with you about some of the ideas we’re cooking up to gather up community inside the space 💖

Tailor shop at 763 Purchase St. open Wednesday-Thursday 9-5 and Friday 10-6 with Aidil. Saturday 10-6 with Claudia.

Join us this week! Come explore the space. Ask us all the questions. If you have an idea for a workshop centered around ideas of reuse let us know.

On Saturday we’ll have both spaces set up for the NB Roots & Branches Festival sidewalk sale. We’ll have old but great and useful merchandise available at a big discount as well as pre-loved clothes and accessories for sale. We’ll also have a free rack of some of the clothing from the past Fashion Rev NB clothing swaps. Come by! We’d love to see your face ♥️

106 William St. has a new resident and it’s us, it’s you, it’s all of us. 👁️🫀👄🫁🧠

Join us for AHA! New Bedford on July 9 from 6-8PM for the Frequency Collection handbag collab drop by Occulta Ossa and Falling Off Trees It’s going to be sublime! All handmade locally by these two immensely talented artists embodying what it means to do the slow fashion thing which we believe is another kind of care we all need in our lives. Slowing down for the high vibration stuff!

You’ll also get to check out our classroom space and hopefully we can get all of your questions answered on how you can make use of our sewing machines, tools and our creative reuse materials. There will be snacks and things and across the street at Cecilia Brito you’ll be able to hear the sounds of local Cape Verdean singer and musician Candida Rose.

We’ve moved most of our retail here and view it as our “gift shop”. It’s full of slow fashion-y things made by local artists and makers as well as books, zines, cards. Someday soon you’ll find OppShop upcycled goodies of our own. Shopping in our gift shop supports us in activating this space so we hope you’ll take a look and find a special something for you or someone you know and like 💘

Yo! It’s summer time and we need us some summer hours. We’ll be closed on Tuesdays until school’s back in session to give us some time with our kiddos. If you need to see us early in the week just shoot over a text or email and we’ll do our best to accommodate you. Hope you’re all the making the best of our brief and glorious New England Summer!

Just some of the results from the first Natural Dye Revive service with .ellis of Customers could choose to do a tie dye style or full coverage. Here are examples of both!

~The salmon sweatshirt had those pesky oil spots that just don’t go away though no one would know it now. We think the way the yellow turned more brown combined with the salmon color is a lovely combo

~The customer with the white shirt wanted to give the shirt a new life and it certainly has one now and it isn’t as office wear, more like a proclamation of earth love

~ The polka dot shirt that now has a more grounded olive colored vibe started out as an icy pastel light sea-foam which wasn’t the vibe for the wearer. We love it now though

Stay tuned for the next color that Falling Off trees offers up for Summer!
