Meet Janiah.🧡

My niece, Janiah was born with Autism and a genetic disorder called Trisomy 13. People born with Trisomy 13 often experience seizures, neurological problems, and intellectual disabilities. And Janiah is no exception. But she is exceptional! She’s very intuitive, has supreme hearing abilities, and is super strong-willed. She loves listening to music, watching The Lorax, and is OBSESSED with magazine 😂.

But Janiah has many challenges including limited spoken language abilities and for much of her life, has been non-verbal. So she often has trouble expressing herself or communicating her needs.

Writing “I Love Me...”, and naming our main character in her likeness was my small way of giving Janiah a voice. And my hope was to help strengthen the voices of other littles, in a meaningful way.

Janiah doesn’t speak much. But one of her favorite words to say is “FAMILY”. And when you send me pics and messages of your littles loving the book, it warms my heart that you’re sharing your family with me.
