MAYDAY!
HAND MADE SUPPORTS MACHINE MADE!
The Chhipa Samaaj of Kaladera has provided about 30,000 cooked meals to industrial workers.
Since March 28th, the Printer community- Chhipa Samaj in village Kaladera, where we have worked for the last 27 years, have been cooking and distributing food for about 900 migrant workers from different parts of the country every single day. Until now they have donated money, collected some and put in a huge effort to feed so many people every day. About 20 printers cook and distribute the food every day.

They've run out of local funds and we at Bindaas Unlimited have committed to financing this grassroot effort for the next 15 days. If you would like to join us in supporting them, contact us for account details.
It is so ironical that the original 'Make In India', i.e. craft, is supporting factory workers! The hand made sector gets virtually no benefits compared to industry despite working in a decentralised, relatively more humane manner. These are all small, family run, under ten people enterprises, with no NGO or government support. They quietly put their head down and work, work, work harder than any of us can even dream of doing. - Meeta .unlimited

Travel plans to Barcelona?
Antoni’s Gaudí first ever designed house CASA VINCENS list on airbnb for $1 🔥🔥🔥
📣 The legendary architect’s Casa Vicens will open its doors in Barcelona for an exclusive one-night stay.
It was in 1885 when the historic residence was commissioned. The UNESCO-listed landmark, which is widely regarded as one of the first buildings of the Art Nouveau movement, was originally designed by Gaudí as a lavish retreat for a local family.
Architect Antoni Gaudí designed Casa Vicens when he was just 31 years old. Built with vibrant ceramic tiles and red bricks, the historic structure was Gaudí’s first-ever commission. Today, it’s commonly referred to as one of the greatest examples of Catalan Modernism. Casa Vicens "represents the flowering of Barcelona’s distinctive form of modern architecture." The sprawling interiors reveal Moorish, neoclassical, and organic motifs.
Although the building has been in private hands for the majority of the 136 years since Gaudí built it, the vibrant architectural landmark was converted into a house museum in 2017. Now, for the first time ever, Casa Vicens will offer an overnight stay for two guests. The booking—which is currently listed on Airbnb for roughly one dollar—will be available to reserve on a first come, first served basis.

The fortunate guests will be hosted by Casa Vicens’s general manager, Emili Masferrer i Fons, who is part of the team that transformed the historic property into the current museum. The host will share insights from the restoration project during an exclusive tour of the property, after which guests will enjoy a Gaudí-inspired Michelin-star meal in the grandiose dining room.

Current mood
🔥🔥🔥
As the world faces a rapidly changing and degrading physical environment, the challenges of global water scarcity crisis and air pollution are well known, less well known is the rising heat and humidity levels will impact productivity and traditional livelihoods in an economy that relies on outwork work.
While high temperatures and droughts prevent plants from growing, arid soils aren’t as good at retaining water.
climate change is causing major changes to land, but changes to land are also causing climate change. Degradation from deforestation, desertification (when fértil land turns to desert)
these human-driven changes to land cause roughly a quarter 23% of man-made emissions.
According to (FAO) since 1900, more than 11 M people have died as a consequence of drought and more than 2 B have been affected by drought, more than any other physical hazard.
Why do these activities cause climate change? Land serves as a sink for carbon, because healthy ecosystems and soils can absorb carbon from the atmosphere, but degraded land does not have the capacity to absorb carbon; it can actually release carbon. And it is possible that climate change and human activities could damage land to the point where it becomes a net source of carbon emissions.
Healthy soils are an important resource that allows the production of food, fiber, or forages. Despite it being a renewable resource, it renews slowly.- generating 3 cm of top soil takes 1000 years.
To limit the effects of desertification, it is also essential to preserve the existing biodiversity in local ecosystems, specially the plants that helps store water.

The science of collecting rainwater is an ancient wisdom which we believe should be respected and revived to achieve equitable and sustainable access to freshwater. With modern technological inputs , water harvesting structures can not only meet people’s basic water needs but also improve the food and livelihood security of global communities while restoring the environment. Restoring both surface and groundwater sources are gradual processes and we believe the only lasting solution to the problem of water scarcity. Only in the first phase & stage the community will be saving 7.5M L of water 💦

From our new friends
did you know the flag’s green stripe represents both the sexual inclusivity of nature and the importance of environmental activism in the gay rights movement?

Happy Pride! Around the world, June is a month full of parties and parades that celebrate and promote the equality and visibility of le***an, gay, bisexual, and transgender people. The rainbow pride flag is a prominent symbol at these celebrations, with each color representing different values of the LGBTQ+ community. In particular, the flag’s green stripe represents both the sexual inclusivity of nature and the importance of environmental activism in the gay rights movement.

While Pride stands as a time for celebration, affirmation, and joy, this year’s festivities coincide with mounting environmental challenges, such as widespread air and water pollution, deforestation, and the rise in temperatures and sea levels. While humans have already started to feel the effects of climate change, the current burden is not carried equally.

Widespread social inequalities have led to our world’s most vulnerable communities to end up on the front lines of the climate crisis, directly exposed to the environmental threats of industrial pollution and climate change. Specifically, the LGBTQ+ community faces serious risks due to the intersectionality of environmentalism and the marginalization of q***r community.
