Today is not only Father’s Day but it one of the most important days that have ever occurred! It’s my Beautiful, Intelligent, Dedicated, Loyal, Selfless, Loving, Successful, Proud, Humble, Family oriented, Queen’s Birthday! To many she goes as “Mrs. D”, Aunty Sandra to my siblings and I she goes as Mommy Sandra DeShong. Mother you have always done your best to teach and provide the best upbringing for us all and for that we love you unconditionally! You have always been there to keep me grounded and from snapping! The voice of reason and sense for me when I need your advice the most! I wish you the very best and blessed birthday! I hope and pray you see another 3 decades or more! I Love You and only want to make you the happiest and proud mother out there! Although your thousands of miles away wish you were closer!!!

So this morning I boarded the train from Long Beach with my ESA Kyng. My name is Dereck Pollard and the conductor whom refused to give me his name whom wasn’t in full uniform because I didn’t see a badge or id! He stopped me from boarding the train and told me that my ESA whom was on a lease and not aggressive. Then told me that NJT follows the TSA GUIDELINES and Rules and my ESA needed to be in a cage. He kept helling and raising his voice at me! I wasn’t rude or disrespectful until it started to become discriminatory! I was in car 7660 he was working the quite car and forward! I suffer from PTSD! This man said he went to some training class and they said that ESA HAVE TO BE IN A CAGE! My Yorkie Poo whom is under 20 lbs has never once had to be placed in a cage. He showed me some paper in a photo on his phone nothing with official logo or memorandum! On the bottom of his email it clearly stated that ESA don’t apply to that rule he was referring too!
I feel that if i was wearing a suit and tie and was a different race he wouldn’t have spoke to me as he did! This conductor doesn’t exemplify the standards of NYNJPA. To even get more detailed; if they observed and followed TSA guidelines shouldn’t he have his SIDA badge visible?

Even after I showed him the policy and procedure of
the TSA he still insisted on being rude and belittling and belligerent! This is the first time I have ever been racially profiled and discriminated against by a train conductor!
I am very aware of the rules of TSA as a former Airline/Airport Employee of over 10 years!

I truly feel totally disrespected and disgusted by knowing that NjT hires such rude and racist and disrespectful people!

To make matters even worst his colleagues two others of his peers of the same race decided to side and back him up! I think it’s completely unfair that they are allowed to speak to customers the way they do knowing that they are protected by the Federal Government! It’s completely acceptable! This man still yet to show me an official email!He knows he was wrong and profiling me because he refused to have his Name badge on!
