Join us to connect four trail systems in one supported long run across Brooklyn on Saturday, August 22nd. Trail running exists in Brooklyn and our goal is to make it accessible and better. This unique route will show you the best trails in Brooklyn’s Fort Greene Park, Prospect Park, Highland Park and Forest Park.

Ticket proceeds from this event are donated to the Natural Areas Conservancy, a local environmental nonprofit that champions urban natural areas in New York City by increasing the health of urban forests and wetlands, catalyzing connections between people and nature, and strengthening the environmental workforce.

Choose from three distances with two aid stations, bag transport and pace groups (7:00-8:00, 8:00-9:00 and 9:00-10:00 minutes per mile), followed by complimentary post-run drink and food at Evil Twin Brewery along with gear raffle and exclusive discounts from MILER RUNNING and select partners. Fuel provided by Neversecond (C30 Sports Drink and C30 Energy Gel).

Register on Luma (limited spots). Preview the route on Strava.

• Long Route (21 miles) | Meet @ Fort Greene Park (corner of St Edwards and Willoughby streets)
• Medium Route (14 miles) | Meet @ Mount Prospect Park (adjacent to Brooklyn Museum)
• Short Route (9 miles) | Meet @ Highland Park parking lot (off Vermont Place)

All runners will finish at the Evil Twin Brewery in Ridgewood for the post-run drink and food, gear raffle, mobile bag check and hangout.

This event is a part of Dirt City (Developing Infrastructure for Routes and Trails in New York City), a project created by MILER RUNNING to promote the use and development of soft-surface trails across New York City for running and recreation. This effort is founded on the belief that soft-surface trails provide a public health benefit for New Yorkers by increasing accessibility to the outdoors and replacing recreational activity on hard surfaces that can increase bodily injuries. Beginning with sharing education about existing trails, the long-term goal of the project is to improve maintenance of and increase investment in New York City’s trails.

Summer 2026 available now at www.milerrunning.com

This season is dedicated to high-performance racing on the track, road and trail with the debut of the Pro Collection, technical racing apparel built for the highest levels of competition using the finest high-performance fabrics and most advanced construction techniques.

The Pro Racing Singlet was designed to meet the standards of professional track and road runners, including the Empire Elite Track Club, New York City’s professional track team. The singlet is made from a French-milled featherweight stretch woven with a unique 3D texture that sits off the skins while enhancing airflow, breathability and moisture wicking. Featuring a new streamlined and tailored fit, bonded seamless construction, racer back and 3” side splits, this garment weights just 36 grams (size M).

For the trail, the collection includes two race-ready tops, the Dirt Running Cropped Tank and Dirt Running SS Tee. Both tops use VentGrid nylon from France, a signature fabric used across the Dirt Collection for its durability and permeable grid system, which enhances breathability and moisture-wicking capabilities. With a vest compatible design, four-way stretch and bonded seams and hems to reduce chafing, these pieces excel at conquering trail environments and ultra distances.

The collection also includes the Base Running Hat, streamlined for racing and summer. The new low-profile cap design features UV protection (UPF 50+), a soft packable brim, mesh paneling and an adjustable corded closure. Constructed from a featherweight Japanese polyester stretch woven, the hat is durable, protective and almost imperceptible, weighing 40 grams.

The Summer 2026 Collection also features new colorways in the Work Running Short, the lightest short in the product lineup, and restocks of summer essentials like the Work Running Tank, Base Running Cropped SS Tee, Base Running Visor, Purist Water Bottle and jacquard woven cotton towels.

This season’s palette is reminiscent of America’s most iconic urban beaches, where spectacular ocean blues meet weathered concrete boardwalks. Inspired by this color story and the recent celebration of the United State’s 250th anniversary, the Summer 2026 campaign was photographed along the shores of the Rockaways in Queens, New York and features Jon Díaz Querejeta, a mid-distance runner for the Empire Elite. Jon was born in San Sebastián, Spain, holds the national 800M record in El Salvador, and came to New York City to run track and cross country for New York University. In coming to New York City and staying to compete post-collegiately, Jon expresses the international pluralism that is the engine and spirit of New York City.

At the peak of the outdoor track season, Jon travelled to a distant spot at the Rockaways for a focused, solo track workout with expansive views of the city. With each repetition and recovery, the buzz of the city faded and gave way to a more relaxed state. After the workout, he cooled down on the People’s Beach at Jacob Riis Park.
