I pulled out the acrylic inks, gold leaf and acrylics to experiment on a new idea I have for a workshop at slow layers is the trick and being comfortable with mess. Slow I’m good at, letting things be loose and messy? 😖 fingers crossed this prototype comes out the way I’m hoping

I have one for more portable stuff and I’m using my new gouache set in it, and one for my on going practice of drawing people. 📸 1- gouache pomegranates 2- tree 3- no and colored pencil ivy 4- acrylic bottles 5 - stereometric approach 6- Loomis method (meh)

For my new mentorship with a master painter, I’m starting all the way at the basics with structural drawing. Drawing is so hard for me, as i rely on color to hep me with form and proportion, so I know this is the right path to be taking. Luckily I’m finally starting to make a few basic drawings that I’m not totally frustrated with.
