About BATAX:

BATAX fashion line specializes in cocktail and special occasion dresses. The brand name- BATAX - is derived from the name of the designer’s tribe in Indonesia, the Batak tribe of Northern Sumatra. A graduate of the fashion studies program at Moore College of Art & Design in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she was featured as an international independent designer at New York Fashion Week and as an emerging designer at the DC Fashion Week in 2016.

Using American design concepts, my clothing line are inspired by Indonesian ethnic fabrics such as batik, ikat and ulos (the handwoven fabric is special to me since it is used in many Bataknese ceremonies. It is proposed to be part of the UNESCO intangible cultural heritage).

Live Music with PYNK NYC and the Organic Jam Sesh starting this Friday from 12:00 - 10:00 PM.
