✨ Meet August’s birthstone: Peridot 💚☀️
This one doesn’t whisper, it glows. Peridot is one of the only gemstones that exists in a single color, always green, ranging from bright lime to deep olive. 💚💚💚💚💚💚
The Ancient Egyptians mined it over 3,500 years ago on the remote Red Sea island of Zabargad, and called it the “gem of the sun,” believing peridot protected the wearer from darkness. Many historians now believe Cleopatra’s famous “emeralds” were actually high-quality peridots. 👑

💚Because this stone holds its color even in low light, the Romans nicknamed peridot the evening emerald, because unlike true emerald, it never goes dark in candlelight. 🕯️Even more incredible: peridot forms deep in the earth’s mantle and is carried up by volcanic activity. 🌋Trace amounts have even been found in meteorites, so some peridot has literally traveled through space. ☄️✨🪐

A stone with this much history deserves to be worn, not just admired.🌝💫💚

✨ There’s no place like home ✨
Back in NYC and reminded again why it will always be home. 🏙️💛

Found this mural on a walk through the neighborhood and couldn’t resist. Love the letter necklace.😄 Fitting, since I was wearing one of my own personally designed initial necklaces, my ADJ Initial Letters, handcrafted in 14k solid gold with lab-grown diamonds. ✨ There’s something so personal about wearing meaningful initials, a little reminder of who you are and where you belong, no matter where you wander.

Every A-Z letter in this collection started as a design I hand-carved myself in wax, inspired by Art Nouveau advertisements and psychedelic 60s rock posters, a nod to two eras that knew how to make lettering an art. 🎨✨

From a sunny UES photo op to a late night stop at Keys & Heels Keys & Heels 🍹✨proof these letters (I paired with ADJ’s amethyst Stella Studs, white topaz Chloe Ear Cuff, and silver Believe Mantra Cuff) move just as easily from golden hour to last call. Yorkville by day and night, I love it all. 🌆🌙

✨ Newport Diary: The Grand Finale ✨
Newport kept handing us new favorite moments. 🏰⛵✨

Day Four began at Fort Adams, one of the largest coastal fortifications in the country, its stone walls holding over two centuries of history. 🧱🇺🇸 Wandering through those old tunnels and archways felt like stepping straight into the past.

Then came one of life's truly timeless pleasures: an afternoon sail aboard the Adirondack. ⛵ Wind in the sails, sun on the water, some joys never go out of style, and neither does great jewelry.

💎 For the day, I layered ADJ's blue topaz Stella Studs and white topaz Chloe Ear Cuff with my own diamond hoops, Valentina necklace in red garnet, and Blake bracelet in blue topaz stacked with my tennis bracelet. Strong enough for exploring a fort, playful enough for a breezy sail, that's the beauty of layering: the same pieces move with you through every setting. ✨

Day Five brought us to The Elms, our third and final Gilded Age mansion, because you can never get enough of these spectacular homes. 🏛️✨ Then, one last twirl on the lawn before saying goodbye to Newport. 💫

From colonial forts to Gilded Age ballrooms to the open water — Newport gave us every kind of beautiful, and ADJ came along for all of it. 💕 Thank you for following along on this Newport Diary. Until the next adventure... ✨

✨ Newport Diary: Dinner Nights ✨

Two different nights, two completely different kinds of beautiful. 🌙

We loved White Horse Tavern, built in 1673, known as America’s oldest operating tavern, the kind of place where history hums in the walls and the dishes are elegantly served. 🏛️🕯️ For that old-world charm, I layered ADJ’s Ophelia necklace (black onyx, smoky quartz, white topaz) with the one-of-a-kind Serena smoky quartz necklace, smoky quartz Stella Studs, black onyx Thelma Threaders, and a white topaz Chloe Ear Cuff, finished with the red garnet Brooke Bangle stacked with my tennis bracelet and enamel rhodolite garnet band ring. 💎 Rich stones for a room steeped in centuries of stories.

Then we traded colonial charm for something sleek and modern: dinner at Giusto, inside the boutique Hammetts Hotel right on the wharf and equally delicious. 🌃 A completely different energy called for a completely different stack: ADJ’s Dova dove necklace in white topaz, the Olivia necklace in pink rhodolite garnet and green peridot, Brooke and Bella Bangles in blue topaz and amethyst, amethyst Moira Earrings, smoky quartz Stella Studs, and the white topaz Chloe Ear Cuff. 💫 Lighter stones, brighter energy, same love for layering.

Old world charm to new world chic, Newport serves up magic.🥂

✨ Newport, RI Diary: Days Two & Three ✨
Gilded halls to ocean air, we toured The Breakers and Marble House, two of Newport’s most jaw-dropping Gilded Age mansions. 🏛️✨ Room after room of gold leaf, painted ceilings, gorgeous grounds and pure opulence.

Layered for the occasion: 💎 ADJ’s amethyst and blue topaz Ophelia Necklace, stacked with my own sapphire and diamond sea horse necklace, ADJ amethyst Stella Studs and white topaz Chloe Ear Cuff with my own diamond hoops, and ADJ’s Believe Mantra Cuff stacked with my tennis bracelet, a little reminder that grandeur and meaning can absolutely coexist. 🎭

Then we traded marble staircases for sandy ones. 🌊 On a breezy beach walk, a tree begged to be climbed, and we discovered a sandcastle that had architectural ambition. 🏰 Same jewels, whole new energy = proof they go from ballroom to boardwalk effortlessly.

✨ Newport, RI Diary: Day One ✨ Lunch on a sunny wharf and our first steps onto the Cliff Walk where Newport’s Gilded Age story begins.

Before we toured the mansions, this walk whispered hints of the grandeur to come. 🏛️
 Layered for a day of salt air and history: 💎 ADJ’s blue topaz Olivia Necklace, Harlow Hoops, and Chloe Ear Cuff, with green peridot Stella Studs for a pop of color mixed with my own rhodolite garnet and black enamel gold band ring. My tennis bracelet stacked with ADJ’s Believe Mantra Cuff, because a little reminder to believe always enhances a first day of adventure. ✨
 The day wound down with the best homemade ice cream 🍦 the perfect sweet ending.
