Two and a half years ago now I picked up a bit of work on a film called The Deb. What I didn’t know that morning was that I would break both my wrists that night and spend the next week in hospital. However, I was absolutely determined to finish the job and slowly but surely over the following weeks I painstakingly cut and tooled around 50 silk flannel flowers, managed to wire some together to make a hairpiece that would match the dress that the flowers were made to trim, and added some trimming to an existing cowboy style hat, all while having a cast on each arm. It turned out to be the perfect rehab task, but I certainly don’t recommend the experience!
