Dear friends and family of KPF,

We would like to thank you for attending our White Summer Event on Friday night, hosted by artist Gisu Lee and music provided by DJ Caleb and Joe.

We are excited to have seen familiar faces, ranging from beloved partners and sponsors, guest speakers, dedicated members and guests, and welcomed new industry friends. We hope everyone had a moment to connect through networking, music and art, and catch up with friends.

We would like to thank our surprise guest speaker Jieun Kim of Curve, for giving insight into her game, showing us that at times spontaneous jobs can pave new career paths and that hard work pays off. Last but not least, we would love to thank artist and beloved KPF member Gisu Lee, for providing such an intimate space with the curation of beautiful art and music, and your companionship in bringing KPF wonders to life.

Gisu Lee is a New York-based artist who majored in fine arts and textile design in South Korea. Lee is inspired by nature and the universe, while she integrates a balance of abstraction and minimalism into her work. Playing with painting, printing and sculpting among other techniques, Lee shares her unique perspective on life and the need for more cultural exposure in a time when appreciation and understanding of heritage seem fleeting. Her first solo exhibition Afterimage is an introductory show and gathering that reveals Lee’s honest emotions of adapting to a foreign city. Through the occasion, Lee hopes to provide a space where fellow friends and art-enthusiasts can share their stories, and establish priceless connections and friendships. Afterimage will take place from July 26 to July 28, 10am — 5pm at On The Fringe, 72 Warren Steet, NYC.

On the very special night of April 25, 2019, KPF celebrated their 1st Anniversary at LIE SANGBONG STUDIO with Grace Jun in its first inaugural speaker series and an intimate networking event.

Grace Jun shared her experience of working inside and outside of fashion — the risks taken to make a sustainable impact in the industry and to craft a career that was truly her own. This event wouldn't have been possible without our proud supporters Andy Han, Suwon Yang, Wookjin Choi, Kilian Son, Nana Lee, and LIE SANGBONG STUDIO.

Thank you for joining us on Thursday night for a wonderful time of networking and celebration of KPF's 1st Anniversary. We hope you had a moment to connect with a new or even an old friend making their mark in New York fashion.

As we look back on our first year of KPF, we are simply grateful — to be have met various Korean Professionals in Fashion who have contributed to our cause and generously supported us through our events.
