For Private Commission Only: The Caribbean is a power clash of worlds. This is couture, where ancestry is architecture. Inspired by the East Indian heritage interwoven throughout the Caribbean, this design honors a lineage often understated yet foundational to our region’s identity.
From Trinidad to Guyana to Belize, the threads of India still shimmer through Caribbean life, in our rituals, cuisine, music, and quiet grace. Here, they meet the formality of European construction and the rhythm of unified West Indian expression, creating something both ancient and new.
The corseted waist, the jacquard silk, the regal posture, all speak to a people who carried beauty through bo***ge, and made elegance an act of survival.
For me, as a Belizean designer, referencing these histories is not costume, but continuity. It is how the Caribbean identity breathes, a living fusion of the world’s migrations, reborn in color, cut, and craftsmanship.
