Please don't skip this post! My friend and fellow volunteer Mohamed at a homeless services non profit has been taken into custody by ICE, illegally, with no cause to do so, 16 days ago. He has an active case for asylum here for his activism on women's and LGBTQ Rights and government corruption. He also has a work visa. He has yet to be able to speak to an attorney and we are doing our best to get him released on bond so he can continue his case for political asylum. If he is deported back to his home country, he faces certain death. (I am not allowed to say publicly what country-for his safety as he has had threats made on his life here by that gov't.) Please consider donating, even just $1 or $5, it all helps! If you cannot donate, please share with those that might be able to and are sympathetic to the plight of our immigrants under the current regime in the white house.

A non profit I love called Backpacks For The Street , a local 501(c)3, that provides clothing and necessities to our growing unhoused population here in NYC is completely volunteer run and needs our help. My girl Lola wanted this cute LV Epi mini tote customized with a little funk, some color, and playful. So I did used the font of LV and used the V as an inverted A for her name. I used an aura on aura outline in colors she loved using leather paints, with gloss and matte for optical dimension. I added a black anondized Aluminum Chain as an alternative to the self strap it came with. Very happy with it.

I was commissioned to make a snakeskin bracelet. However since I use only upcycled skins, I am sometimes limited on colors. This particular client wanted periwinkle, and full reticulation. So I chose a light color Elaphe skin and hand tinted it to achieve the Coloration he was looking for. The result was beautiful I thought! And since it’s gotta have some sort of vice related to it…it’s actually a three snap c*ckring! 😉
